David Samel is the head of the firm’s appellate unit. After graduating from Columbia University Law School, he gained experience as an attorney at the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, and in the Appeals Bureau and Trial Division of the Legal Aid Society. He also served as a Legal Assistant to the Honorable Murray Mogel in New York County Supreme Court prior to joining the firm in 1992.
Mr. Samel has established an enviable record of success in dispositive motions and in appeals involving such areas as municipal, insurance coverage, police action, motor vehicle, premises liability and construction law.
